Live Sound
This course has been designed to complement the ‘Live Visual/Light’ course, as it covers all the essential aspects related to operating a live stage, from a sound perspective. The students who enrol in this course will gain a comprehensive understanding of the correct order they need to work in and the potential problems they might encounter. The main subjects that will be covered in the course include stage setup, microphone techniques, creating and reading stage plans, different types of microphones and their functionality, setting up main, monitor and individual mixes, understanding different types of effects and their usage, and solving common stage problems, particularly feedback. By the end of the course, students will have a basic understanding in how to operate a live stage effectively, with the knowledge and skills to handle basic problems that may arise.
